The fix for this issue required a re-index of all transactions, and other objects in our database, this might have caused it to take a bit longer than we would have liked.

This is actually a tricky one, since every airline owns their own policy about how their terminals work during a flight. π«
Currently, a lot of terminals during a flight are offline. However, some of them will allow our cards to work even when offline, and process this payment once the terminal is back online. In other occasions, they might already make clear that payments with MasterCard or Maestro are not possible, or only offline payments with VISA or a credit card are allowed. π³
However, it is really hard to tell from our side since every airline is free to choose their payment policy.
Regarding the chosen countries, this also changes depending on the airline: some of them will enable the country of origin of the airline, while some others might have global settings so it can work everywhere. Even different terminals in the same airline can hold different settings. π
Since most airlines don't hold any information about their paying terminals in their website, we would love it if every bunqer could give their own input about your own experiences with different airlines, so the rest of the bunqers can benefit from them.
I travelled myself from Amsterdam to Barcelona with Transavia, and they didn't take any debit card, only credit cards. In this case, to be in the safe side, I would bring a payment alternative (cash or credit card) for these cases!
You only have to tap on "Pay" or "Request", then on the agenda icon, and then on favourites, on the bottom left side of the screen! π

At bunq, we can't currently provide a bank guarantee on that deposit. Of course, you can pay your deposit from a bunq account, which is covered by the deposit guarantee scheme :)
