  • Wow it has been 5 years already since we requested to be able to control who pays the fee or the option to disable card payments per bunq.me link

    • Unbelievable that there still hasn’t been a toggle implemented to disable card payments per bunq.me link.

      • Edit spot opgevuld.

        • What a decision... My billing account is a shared account with my friends since we are sharing a pack, we sent 6.25€ each to this account every month and it's not in use for anything else! Now MY INTEREST are credited tot the billing account.

          • @Jakob-Y#270413 I am in fact focused on the Dutch market and the consequences of issuing credit cards where Dutch retailers are going to get mc/vs debit processing automatically activated by the end of this year at the fixed fee they are used too for maestro, and if they would like to accept mc/vs credit they need to 1. contact their psp to activate creditcard transactions and 2. Accept that the fee will be 1.25% - 2.5%, which I am certain will not be motivating for them, and not just small shops, even Albert Heijn to date does not accept mc/vs.

            • @thijsoost#270404 Sorry my message might be confusing, my old, soon to be expiring debit mc’s were replaced with new debit mc’s where I was afraid they would send the credit version as a replacement.

              • @pqckmqn#259122 apparently you don’t know the difference between the interchange fee and the fee the merchant is paying on CC transactions, it is nowhere near 0,3%.

                Educate yourself..

                • And you bet they will since the fee for debit MC/VS transactions will remain the same as current Maestro (fixed 0,05 - 0,10 cts). Where credit transactions cost between 1.75 %- 2.50 % of the payment total.

Btw, shops will not need to do anything to start accepting these Debit transactions as a replacement of Maestro, if they want to accept Credit transactions however they will need to take steps to start accepting these themselves.

                  • So all Dutch merchants are going to be accepting Debit Mastercard/Visa in the near future because of the retirement of maestro/v-pay. Most acquirers are currently updating the terminals to accept them. Since Bunq started labeling their cards as creditcards, these will not work in all those stores that decide not to accept creditcard payments because of the different fee vs maestro & Debit Mastercard/Visa.

                    Damn!

                    • I am receiving the following message when going to my (or others) bunq.me links after choosing the payment method.

                      Fout
We kunnen dit nu niet weergeven. Sorry! Onze medewerkers zijn op de hoogte gebracht en zullen dit probleem oplossen.

                      • @Jakob-Y#230126 And has this bug been brought to the dev’s attention?

                          • Bunq can you fix this? I just got surprised with a €5 fee because someone used his credit card where i expected him to use ideal or bancontact. If I had known I would have given him my iban to transfer old-school style.

I don’t want to support CC payments on my bunq.me links -_- !!

                            • Wow 3 years since this was suggested and seemed like it could be implemented in a heart-beat.

                              • Make it available for Maestro and I’ll gladly prepay my pack!

                                • I don’t understand why the charges for CC transactions are charged to me instead of the one paying the request? I want to be able to disable certain payment methods per bunq.me link.
