I’d also be a lot happier if this feature is removed or optional. I’m one of those people who don’t want notifications open. A notification on my phone is something that needs attention/action. Spinning a wheel in my banking app really doesn’t need my attention. And secondly…it has a weird aftertaste if a banking institution has some “wheel of fortune” in their app. Just doesn’t seem very professional.

My guess: to grab your attention to look at the page, where you'll see that you can get an extra spin if you spend money.

Thijs Exactly even when I was not budgeting or tracking properly I opened Bunq to play, and sometime I did one card payment just for that. Goal is to make you Fomo and increase retention so why would they stop this ?

I totally agree on that. If I like to spin, I go to a casino instead (but rather avoid it).

Geoffrey In my opinion a gamble game should absolutely not be the way of increase retention. There should be other ways.

Christiaan More you go on Bunq more you are willing to use it. And bring money to bunq, it's the same goal for tree counter, and the forest illustration for green tab and activities. It's to work on your dopamine.
I earned tree and twice an easy green subscription so it's quite a good compromise Imo

Could you let me (and probably others) know how to disable the gambling feature?

Arik Unfortunately, this cannot be disabled. The red dot was disabled for everyone for a short time, but was re-enabled later. I would love to see a setting to hide the Wheel of Fortune entirely.

Thijs Looks like they doubled down on the gambling game. I decided I'm just going to ignore it from now on. But I'm looking for another bank with a matching feature set. The moment one is available, I'm jumping ship. I guess the process of en5#1Tification did not skip bunq.
