  • [Suggestion] Interest on non-saving accounts

Recently the Mass Interest feature has changed (https://together.bunq.com/d/55218-update-to-massinterest-as-of-december-2-2022/2), so that now only interest is calculated for saving accounts and no longer on sub-accounts. I use the sub-accounts for different kind of savings (e.g. Car, House, Healthcare) and shared those sub-accounts with my partner so that we can both see it and pay expenses from these specific accounts. That's the reason I chose Bunq. But now with the changes to Mass Interest, I will no longer receive any interest. A dedicated savings account does not suffice because:

  • they cannot be shared
  • you cannot pay expenses from these accounts

So please change Mass Interest to include all (or selected) sub accounts OR make savings accounts shareable and allow to pay from the saving accounts.

Thijs changed the title to [Suggestion] Interest on non-saving accounts.
      a month later

It is really a step back in time. I can't convert my sub accounts into savings accounts so I have to create a seperate one for all my saving goals (doubling the number of accounts!).

What was wrong with just giving money over all accounts? Easy right?

@Edgar-Purple-Lion#274960 They weren't able to raise the interest when continue to give interest over all your sub-accounts. Now that you only get interest over your saving accounts and you can only withdraw twice a month, they're able to give you more interest.

Bunq did a survey, more users chose "only savings accounts, more interest" than "all sub-accounts, less interest".
