  • [Suggestion] Synchronisation of order sub-accounts across devices

Hello everyone, on all my devices (MacBook, iPad, iPhone) the grouping of the icons is different. I'm not sure if this is intentional. It takes time to arrange the icons on all devices in the same way. This time could be saved by automatically synchronizing the grouping of icons across all devices. For those who prefer it different on all devices, it might make sense to choose between the two options.

@New-Jade-Civet-3708145759#267710 "Grouping of icons"? I'm not sure if I understand what you mean. Do you refer to the sub-accounts on the Home page?

Yes, I mean the home page. Each account and each creditcard has its own icon. Please check out my attached picture, there you see the grouping on all my three devices. All of them are different and this is completely confusing for me.

        Got my point? :-)

@New-Jade-Civet-3708145759#267720 Ah, I'm using the Together website, there I can't see attached images. Went to Together in the app, now I see what you mean.

I'm only using bunq on one device, so I never noticed this. Strange that the order of sub-accounts isn't the same on every device!

@New-Jade-Civet-3708145759#267710 I agree that the bunq home tab lay-out could be synced across devices and that one should be able to opt-out per device (and opt-in again.)

Any folder content, the cards, the location of every tile. As some devices have more room (columns) you have to get clever on an iPad. Add an button to switch between 2 and 3 columns. The 3 column tile order is initially fed by the phone but after that can be a partial sync. Folder contents: check. But the tile order over 3 columns could be changed without messing up the phone’s lay-out. The 2 columns view on iPad will sync tile order with the phone.

It get a bit tricky here, but I think, correct/augment me if I am wrong Marco,
We a bunq end user desire a way to use multiple devices without needing to re-set the tile and folder lay-out for every device so that we can quickly find the cards, subaccounts or folders we are looking for, supported by our memory.

Agree! It’s annoying that I set up everything nicely on my phone, but it’s all messy on my MacBook and iPads. And since I don’t use the bunq app that much on those devices, I don’t bother to manually rearrange it there (so I keep annoyed) 😄

Thijs changed the title to [Suggestion] Synchronisation of order sub-accounts across devices.

@JNTHN#268080 YES, many agree. It is not only not efficient, but also a) does not engender trust, and b) conveys a sloppy attitude into the face of users. Neither Apple or Google (or pick most medium to medium-high standard brands) would let this slip before final release. Please treat your users more thoughtfully. Also applies to Apple Watch. Test your product not just with 3 of 5 sub-accounts (we’re this may not matter), but with 10+ which many have, well plus virtual cards + store cards!
                    Much appreciated.

May I raise attention to this issue again?

One of the advantages of bunq is being able to create many separate accounts (and cards) for different purposes. However, this gets quite annoying when you need to fix the order on all your devices separately.

I think it would be a great quality-of-life improvement to sync the home tab organisation between a user's devices!

@JNTHN#291213 Hey there, Jonathan 👋 Happy to see you on our community page! In fact this is really nice suggestion and it has received positive feedback.

I've added it to our wishlist board for the team to review and consider. If they decide to move forward with it, we'll be sure to announce it on the Together community! 🚀
