Hey, I would love to see virtual Maestro Cards get introduced!

Currently you can only get a virtual Mastercard, these are good for linking to different sub-accounts, for different types of purchases.
However here in the Netherlands, Maestro is the way to go when purchasing in physical stores and the better hand of online stores. It would be great to have similar functionality with Maestro cards on Google Pay.

    Hello @Aydin-Turquoise-Panda#224177 🌈

Thats good to hear, if this gets implemented I will probably rejoin the Bunq community🙌🏻
Hope to see this in the near future!

        Great 💡!

Ive just stumbled across this issue too. Need a maestro victual card for use with a joint account, but don't want a physical card (or want to pay for it).

            4 months later

Is there an update on this? For me the reason to join bunq was to be able to have different sub accounts for budgetting and having virtual cards for these accounts. Only finding out later that the virtual cards are only available in mastercard which makes it very difficult to actually pay ij stores in the Netherlands while they are often not accepted.

@Dion-jeannot-Pascal-van-Rooij#233062 Don’t think you’re right. As far as I know MasterCard is gonna replace meastro with MasterCard Debit.

@Dion-jeannot-Pascal-van-Rooij#233062 Personally I expect Visa to follow suit here and sunset their V PAY product soon. They've already made many such moves to phase it out in countries where it has been popular, so hard to believe they would try to revive it just for The Netherlands.

@isaak#235014 I definitely would love to see the option for virtual meastro cards as well. That way it’s easier to make card payments from different sub accounts without changing my card linked to a different account.

Really annoying bunq does offer virtual MasterCard cards but not maestro cards.
I don’t mind paying 10e for an extra card, but monthly fee is not far in my opinion.

There is still no option for a virtual debit card, only a virtual credit card. At least in my automated options... I don't want a physical card for every sub account but need a debit card to pay in many Dutch stores. Any help here?

                              Leze jullie mee, @bunq?

I've also noticed this issue. MasterCard Debit is now accepted in most stores, which is evident as both my virtual and physical debit cards work almost everywhere. Virtual MasterCard Credit though doesn't seem to be accepted anywhere.

My partner and I want do all of our banking on a single platform rather than splitting our accounts across multiple banks. Bunq seemed like a great solution for this, but not being able to create virtual debit cards is a bit of a deal breaker for us.
