  • Is DGS 100,000€ protection per IBAN or per user ?

I would like to know if the DGS that protects until 100,000€ is valid for every IBAN or just per user ?

    Good question. The Deposit Guarantee Scheme is per bunq account (all your bunq ibans combined).

    But if you have lets say a Premium and a Business account, then your are protected till €200.000.

      For 2 accounts it’s 2x €100.000, which in this rare case doesn’t necessarily equal €200.000.

          @Tim#29342 Yeah, so in John’s example you’d have two guarantees of up to €100.000, which isn’t the same as saying you’re guaranteed up to €200.000. Can’t simply add those two amounts together.

              Sorry if my comment wasn't clear (hopefully the article I referred to is). It is a bit more complex then the just adding number :). Let me clarify it a bit:
              The savings of every individual person and small corporation is covered up to 100k at bunq. So, your personal account is covered up to 100k, but your business account also. The site I referred to will explain it in more detail.
