Bastiaan Germany. I have support on my phone. But it's only a buggy partial support on my phone. I contacted Bunq and they said they only support GPay for Phones and not for watch.

I can like I Sayed use some cards. But not the Metal Card. Because it's not supported.

Bastiaan I think the issue is, that the Green Card is not actually supported yet, they create a virtual travel card behind the scenes.

Is there such a thing as a bank supporting Google Pay only on phones and not on Wear OS? At least for Apple Pay a bank does not get to choose. It's all or nothing.

The problem is that the Metal Card does not support Google Pay at the moment.
Due to this you cannot add the card to GPay, only by using the button "Add to GPay" in the bunq app. By clicking the button a virtual card number is created in background and this one will be added to your GPay wallet.

When adding a card to Wear OS you have to select a card in your Google Wallet but your Metal Card is not available for GPay and you are not able to get access to the virtual card, that is created when adding the card to the GPay wallet.

So we need support for the Metal Card in GPay to solve this issue.

I have a similar problem with Bunq Maestro. On Pay for Android everything works fine, but if I add a bunq card to the wallet and then I want to setup Pay on Wear OS I get a generic error message. If I delete the bunq card from Pay I can setup the watch with other card such as N26. This is really strange and annoying

Francesco Ik loop hier ook tegen aan. Ik kan via jullie app de kaarten toevoegen aan gpay. Maar de wear OS app wilt niet meer instellen. Jammer dat ik daardoor niet met mijn smartwatch kan betalen. Wanneer wordt dit verwacht en weten we waarom Google dit niet toelaat?

It looks like Google rolls out WearOS-Google Pay support separately from the implementation on the Android smartphones. Without any deep knowledge about this I'd guess this must be activated from Google's side.

Tim It does but gives an error when it tries to download the phone cards to the wear OS app

Inmiddels is google pay en google pay voor wear os beschikbaar in Nederland. Zou het nu mogelijk moeten zijn om een Bunq kaart toe te voegen?

This person got it working: https://together.bunq.com/d/46923 They also mentioned that they needed to add their card in Google Pay manually for it to work correctly, so maybe if you're having issues you could try that :)
