  • Apple pay card names

Hi Bunq,

Is there a way to show the card names in the apple pay wallet? Just so it’s easyer to identify the right card within the wallet, they are all named “maestro” or “mastercard” i have 2 maestro cards in the wallet and be easyer to select the right one without needing to remember what card number was linked to what card.

        @DylanScott#123885 This is not about bunq it’s about Apple. As long as Apple refuses to add such a feature there is nothing bunq or any other bank can do.

            @DylanScott#123887 Well that’s another story ... considering that bunq doesn’t even manage to get the „new“ travel card ready for Apple Pay you can imagine how much effort and time it would take to implant a feature we’re you can have different card designs working with Apple Pay.

                Just rename the cards in the bunq app. Name them the last 4 digits of the card number so you can tell them apart.

                    Exactly this; or almost, for me it is importaint to see which card is from bunq Business and which one from bunq private, the only way to see is the last 4 digits, it would be great if they change their card design for the business users, or atleast have something that states so. So that I and my fellow entrepeneurs know which card to use during business lunches and which one to use shopping carrots for dinner at home.

                      Bunq should just add the feature of selecting different card faces or colors within the app.

                          Wat ik begrijp van discussies op het internet, wordt de afbeelding in ApplePay gekoppeld aan een kaartcode.

                          Voorbeeld: kaarten met een code 1 krijgen dus de Meastro-afbeelding, code 2 de Mastercard-debit en code 3 de Mastercard-credit. De afbeeldingen en codes lijken van de bank te komen, zodat die ook wijzigingen kunnen aanbrengen in bijvoorbeeld een logo.

                          Het is afhankelijk van wat Apple toestaat aan codes, maar als dat er bijvoorbeeld tien zijn, dan zou bunq in theorie tien verschillende afbeeldingen kunnen toestaan. In de app zou dan via de kaartcode de afbeelding aan ApplePay doorgegeven kunnen worden. Hetzelfde geldt voor een generieke naam (“Privè”, “Zaak” etc.).

                          Alleen is het moeilijke dus dat Apple dit wel moet toestaan en Apple een beetje kennende, zullen ze dit niet toestaan. Ze gaan voor One size fits all en dus is het aanbid beperkt. Apple zal zeker niet toestaan dat er verschillende afbeeldingen voor dezelfde soort pas worden toegelaten.

                          Technisch kan het blijkbaar wel...

                            @Samzoiets#130169 Santander doet het, die heeft voor hun virtuele Maestro 2 kaartdesigns: licht en donker. Ook in Apple Pay. Dat is alweer wat makkelijker dan enkel dezelfde kaarten in precies dezelfde kleuren :P

                                @Samzoiets#130247 Blijkbaar wel ja. Verkeerd gekeken trouwens, het is lichtgeel of donkerblauw. Maar ik denk niet dat je dit achteraf kan wijzigen, dus kleur gekozen en toegevoegd aan Wallet = kleur staat vast. Maar goed, nog altijd beter dan helemaal geen opties :P

                                      Maestro en MasterCard hebben bij bunq ook verschillende logo’s op de Apple Watch. Alleen ingetrokken verschil in deze kaarten alleen heel klein.
