Michael De magneetstrip wordt niet veel gebruikt nee, maar dit kan je wel nog steeds gebruiken want dit is normaal niet uitgeschakeld op de terminals en als het niet werkt kan je nog steeds NFC gebruiken met Samsung Pay. Ook als je bijvoorbeeld op reis gaat en je hebt Samsung Pay dan kan je dat daar ook wel goed gebruiken want in sommige andere landen wordt dit wel veel gebruikt.

Giany 🇧🇪 In europa is de magneetstrip op passen standaard uitgeschakeld. Buiten europa zou het nog gebruikt kunnen worden (maar dat is steeds minder het geval).

The magnetic strip is automatically enabled & disabled based on the country you are in. In Europe it's disabled; the chip should always be used.

Michael dat denk ik niet, bijvoorbeeld aan een tankstation moet je je kaart er in steken en dan er meteen uit halen en pin ingeven voordat ze de kaart kunnen lezen want de magneetstrip wordt daarvoor gebruikt niet? Ook is het zo bij DATS 24 (een Belgische tankstation die samen werkt met de Colruyt groep) dat de klantenkaart alleen een magneetstrip heeft dat gebruikt wordt in de betaal terminal. Nu is het wel zo dat je Samsung Pay niet kan gebruiken voor zo'n terminals om MST te gebruiken en ook sowieso NFC:

Daarnaast heeft Samsung Pay ook andere extra 'features'.

Giany 🇧🇪 Dan wordt gewoon de chip op de pas gelezen. Magneetstrip wordt in europa niet meer gebruikt (tenzij je een pas buiten de EU hebt).

Michael Oké dan is het gedeactiveerd op de betaalkaarten. Maar niet op de terminals, dus kan je het wel nog gebruiken.

If you get a Samsung Pay Card, you can then add any card you like to that card. So you can do it that way apparently.... Haven't tried yet !!

With Google Wallet/Pay on Android devices, all bunq Android users can use it to benefit from its features 🙌

Since Google Wallet is available, we didn't make Samsung Pay a priority, however, we do keep an eye out for our users' interest on this 😊

Hi there! Consider this an reminder that interest in Samsung Pay here is still going strong! I work at a certain electronics retail Company and we get questions daily about which banks in the Netherlands support Samsung Pay for their Galaxy watches.

It would be great to offer these customers an option of switching to bunq instead of telling them to toss their watch.
