We’re teaming up with Varsity for their 141th edition of their annual race, happening April 6, 2025. Students who sign up for bunq by scanning the QR code or by the dedicated link can save €10 each on their next two payments at the event venue when paying with their bunq Card (virtual or physical), totalling a €20 Cashback.

How to claim your Cashback?

  1. Sign up for bunq by scanning the QR code on the bunq banner, using the link shared on Varsity’s socials, or clicking the link in the email you received from Varsity;
  2. Ensure your bunq Bank Account linked to your new card has sufficient funds;
  3. Make 2 payments of at least €10 each at the event venue using your bunq card (virtual or physical);
  4. Earn €10 Cashback for each payment, sent to you with your next weekly Payday.

Who’s eligible for this promotion?

You have to meet the following conditions to be eligible for this promotion:

  • You must live in the Netherlands;
  • Only new bunq users who sign up for a Personal account using the link are eligible;
  • Promotion is available for users aged 18 and above;
  • Available for all bunq plans.

When will I receive my Cashback payout?

You’ll receive the Cashback you earned on your next weekly Payday.

How do I see if I’ve earned Cashback?

To see if you’ve earned Cashback, just check the payment in your bunq app made on the day and time of the event. If you’ve earned Cashback, it will be displayed alongside the payment:

  1. Go to the 🏠 Home tab
  2. Select the card you used for the payment.
  3. Find your payment and tap on it
  4. If you’ve earned Cashback, you’ll see it displayed here

Can I combine this promotion with the regular bunq Cashback?

Yes, you can combine this promotion with your regular bunq Cashback. More details about our Cashback can be found here.

I haven’t received my Cashback. What now?

The payment must be made directly with your bunq Credit Card (virtual or physical). Cashback won’t be paid for payments made via PayPal, Curve, or Klarna.
