Hello Fellow Bunqers!
I'd like to make a salespitch to evangelise the wonders of the BUNQ Next Generation of Banking to my Girlfriend, her kids and the ex-husband and father ... And of course, this topic could develop to a more generic application of key features I can use to convince people to convert from fossil-banks to Neobanking with Bunq.
Although I can have some critique here and there on how some things are not perfect at BUNQ, those are mostly '#firstworld problems' and 'feature requests' not actual concerns I have about BUNQ as an organization.
In the light of the recent Mediastorm concerning the poor victims of Internet Criminals, directed at BUNQ as being the 'vilain' in that story... I have built up a certain drive to bring the good news of BUNQ. Voluntarily. Because I believe in this Bank. Where I now am just a few years more and more enthusiastic customer.
Here's what I've got so far:
- BUNQ can deliver everything and most of your banking needs in 4 basic flavours, where 1 (Easy Bank Pro) is actually most used for what other banks split in separate extra charges.
- With BUNQ you have the ease of sharing individual IBANs from your total of 25 IBANs for that 9,99 a month... with in this case the ex-husband, and the 2 kids, their savings accounts etc. can all be included If I'm not mistaking. This can be achieved without giving any unneeded and more important: Unwanted (!) access to other / main / own accounts.
- With BUNQ you don't pay for what people nowadays don't tend to use: A lot of buildings everywhere including all the resources they would take.
- With BUNQ you get the best interest rates, so from around 10K savings (Correct me if I'm wrong here, or the exact amount can be calculated...) a.t.m you don't pay at all for your BUNQ Easy Bank Pro-account
- BUNQ does not allow you, or your kids to take loans or use funds you don't actually have. This is fundamentally different from fossil banks that try to lure you into expensive credit options. Bunq appearantly understands that this is unneeded and not what a bank should be doing to/with (other) people's money.
- You get to decide where BUNQ uses your money as a whole, to generate more money of it. If you only want to support green - it's just a few taps in the app.
- The App and the Bankcards have Beautifull rainbow colors, the kids are going to love that!
- Bunq is a community centered bank. If you need help, there's not just 1 formal point of contact - there's every Bunqer potentially to help you out! (Okay, sorry I didn't do much community service as it is here, a bit busy with other chores...)
Now to sum up, what my Girlfriend wants is:
A Single private payment account (For her own bills mortgage etc.) at least
- (I will ofcourse explain the ease of use with other subaccounts dedicated to Food or Online Payments or Travel expenses...)
Savings account (Personal) This she already has atm for free
Savings accounts for the kids (aged 7 and 10) (Seperate?)
A Shared Account/IBAN with the ex-husband for exchanging funds needed to provide for the kids. He should not have access to any other resources!
Possibly more subaccounts tailored to everyone's needs, maybe in the future share an account with me - I don't know, this isn't handy at the moment due to various legal reasons atm...
Possibly own apps/logins for the kids starting at 12 yrs? I dunno exactly when we will spoil them with a smartphone, but this needs to be covered somewhere
... and ofcourse, my GF, their mom, needs to stay in charge until they're 18, and old enough for their own full bunq accounts.
(Does Bunq actually aim at Kids at the moment, like most Big Old Banks do? Bunq should be doing this anyway, but with a focus on responsible banking and trust, I think...)
I'm correct here when I say this all comes at the fabulous pricing of just 9,99 € a month etc?
Any other persuasive arguments to be made? Also to the father of the kids? It's my personal Quest to get these kids away from Big Old Bank crepers ... As well as demonstrate live, that this is the future of banking for younger people in the digitale age. !
