Love some of the new features of Bunq 24 - however the "Easy Budgeting" feature is a complete step backwards, at least for me. I mainly use Bunq with my wife, and our set-up mainly uses joint accounts (current & savings). To provide some context we both have a "Guilt Free" account from which we can spend whatever. Rest of the accounts "Groceries", "Children", "Family Time" and a few more a joint accounts.
Some feedback:
With Easy Budgeting for joint account it now says in the manual “Now whenever you or any member of your Joint Easy Budgeting account makes a payment in the category assigned to that account (like groceries, travel, etc), the payment will be automatically deducted from the budget you've set accordingly.” - this is great. However, this is completely unclear in the UI for the other person that did NOT configure the Easy Budgeting. In fact, when my wife looks at our joint accounts the Easy Budgeting feature seems disabled, however when trying to enable it - it says there is already budeting enabled. This is fine, however please update the UI to change this;
Insights Widget has been removed from the Dashboard - which I miss greatly! I used to have widgets on the dashboard to see categories for my current account (Guilt Free) and an overview of all joint accounts combined. I'm aware of this thread and fully support it
Budgeting Tab is too simple, per my other point on Insights Widget, I’d like to group my insights per set of accounts (personal vs joint). If I want to have some insights I have to update and select each account all the time to update the filter - pretty annoying. Plus - the pie-chart on my budgeting page does not even respond to changing the filter (might be a bug?)
Insights should be gathered with your own preferred timeframe, now it’s only available per calendar month (which sucks, I’m missing the configurability, we had this in Insights widget) - as our new "month" starts at the 25th. Without this configurability the feature becomes quite useless.
Spending Limits are still set per category looking at all your accounts, not a set of accounts only. For example I’d like to have spending limits on Groceries that are done from my joint accounts. But not on my personal accounts - now it's combined.
Thanks!
