• What do you prefer? Cleaner Overview or More Information?

Seperate thought:
I don’t think you can use the tiny line for Auto Save and Auto Sort because the first is about outgoing payments and the second about incoming payments.

The latter will always be part of the bigger number 2500 came in, 1700 of that was sorted.

The first is ambiguous, did you spend 3,50 or 4,00 (3,50+0,50)? Of was the coffee 3,00 and was 0,50 saved.

By mixing the representation for two different use cases (regardless of technical overlap) I suspect it can create confusion (cognitive overload) and muddles the water of what you are trying to communicate.

The fact that 1700 and 0,50 is below the main number also does not help in the overview where time flows from bottom to top.

Je préfère le premier, avec les icons

Keep the 1st one please, I saw it with my payday today, money was 'lost', but I had to look for it and found it back. This is only payday imagine you have multiple transactions.
Please keep it simple, so we users can understand what went on, and can explain 3 rd parties like tax office what happened easy as well
I hope bunq can understand this logicthemselves.

@Joeri-Silver-Lynx#285438 I get what you mean about the symbols not lining up. You should be able to consider the icons and values as + or - the balance of your sub-account. In your example the €-3.50 coffee is coming off this sub-account, but so is the -0.50 Auto Save ✅. That's not consistent with the €2,500 incoming, and then outgoing €1,500 being Auto Sorted into Savings account❌. We could make it -1,500 to show that the Sorted amount was sorted out of the sub-account.

            @David-Brown-Kiwi#285559

We could make it -1,500 to show that the Sorted amount was sorted out of the sub-account.

I think that at least communicates with existing concepts (the minus) that money is going away.
But then you run into the order problem: first 2700 got in, then -1500 was sorted. Since this view shows the most recent transaction at the top:

One could place the -1500 above the [+]2700 to follow the reverse chronological order better.

So currently the design uses a "sub-line" UNDER the main transaction.
One could see if it visually acceptable to place it above it in different ways:

You could try sub-line above the 2700, as well as a normal transaction line above the 2700, but with a visual indicator that they belong together.
(Like a vertical line or a grouping or perhaps even a indentation, though honestly it could just be a normal transaction line with a minus number and the auto-sort icon. It doesn't have to follow the idea of Auto Save.)

And as mentioned, if the transaction was sorted to more than 1 goal, it could be expanded into many transaction rows showing all the auto-sorted amounts with minuses of course.

If collapsed, you could show the total of an auto-sorted number, but that can be a calculated number, not a number that would shows up in the transaction log and displaying that is not without risk. (Separate point.)

@David-Brown-Kiwi#285559 about the 1500 and a calculated number:

In your first screenshot, let's say you have added the - (minus) issue and you addressed the order challenge. - The "1500" might be a calculated number or a virtual number.

Showing a virtual number might confuse people if they don't expect it because the context, like this transaction overview where this is, creates the expectation that if it displays "-1500" that on the receivers end it displays +1500.

However, as we just established, the sorted 1500 can be a calculated number, meaning 1000 euro could be sorted to sub-account B and 500 to C. (1500 = 1000 + 500)

One cannot see/know that by reading "🔀 -1500".

So what do we need? We need a hint this number is different [or not show calculated numbers here].

              One can do:
              "🔀 x2: -1500"
              or
Actually displaying quotes around the number:
              '🔀 x2 "-1500" '
However this is not a universal language.
              "Auto-Sorted (2) - Total: 🔀 -1500"
This one gets closer. I am trying to communicate unambiguously what is going on.

So the question is how does one communicate that this number is "not real/literal" and is the total of all auto-sorted payments and not a literal transaction?

(This is also why the form factor of Auto Save and Auto Sort should not be the same. As you explained the -0,50 is TRULY a transaction that can be found on the transaction log. The -1500 might not be. )

I prefer the first one. Though I like clean design, I also like a good UX. I don’t want to perform an extra click each time when I want to see important info like that.

I like info, the more details, stats, info, etc. I can see the better - as long as it’s not annoyingly busy or it’s showing details I couldn’t care less about. I would say stuff like an IBAN is very important if you actively click on that account, so keep it there.

It could be good to also make it optional in settings, so people who wants more info can turn it on.

I miss the small details that make life easier. Now I have to perform an extra click. I would love to have the amounts back in the default overview.

Why? Because I don’t have to perform an extra action and I dan view what’s going on in a single view.
