Previously, I could see when exactly a direct debit request was going to expire (say, on the 1st of May at 10 am). Some of the suppliers send direct debit requests not on a fixed date, but within a sliding window of a few days. When I know the exact day and time when a request would expire, I could easily plan my budget (basically, I can decide whether I need to pull money from savings or I have enough time for a salary to get into my account).
Now, the app only says “Will expire in 4 days”, so I have to calculate dates in my mind (and, as you know, number of days is different almost every month) and I have no idea about exact time when deadline occurs.
So, I'd say the redesign idea was less than great, and I'd love to see the changes reverted.
