  • How can I pay in Dutch shops with bunq card?

Hi all. Have tried to pay in the Albert Heijn, my card was refused. This is a first time I wanted to use this card. What's going wrong please?

    Bonjour, la même chose s'est passée avec ma carte rainbow, j'ai essayé plusieurs fois, ca ne marche pas, carte refusée. J'ai essayé de tirer de l'argent depuis un ATM, ca marche, j'ai essayé de nouveau chez Albert Heijn et chez Aldi, la carte est refusée !

      @New-Golden-Hare-530462043#261458 Do you maybe have a Mastercard card? Albert Heijn only accepts Maestro and V-Pay cards.
      The most shops in The Netherlands don't accept Mastercard (credit) cards.

          Did you insert the card or payed contactless? The first time you have to insert the card in the terminal to activate contactless payments

            I have tried both. At first I have tried contactlens and it was refused, then I have tried to insert in terminal, I get message unreadable chip

                  @New-Golden-Hare-530462043#261508 Hmm, if the card is activated, it's activated in the Netherlands, and it's a Maestro card, and it still doesn't work, your card might be faulty. Could you try to use your card in a different store? If it also doesn't work there, you might want to contact bunq support to get a replacement card.
