Dos Santos Hi 👋,
Probably you do not have a clear understanding on how bunq credit cards are set up.
As bunq does NOT offers credit and you are not allowed to have a negative balance unless very specific scenarios, the same apply to credit cards.
Any time you use your card, does not matter if for a purchase or a safety deposit, the amount is immediately pulled off your account.
If your funds are not sufficient the Credit Card transaction will fail.
This is to prevent users from falling into debts.
In the case of a safety deposit, as soon as the vendor cancels the deposit with Master Card and it get processed, bunq will immediately refund the amount.
It happens a lot that vendors tell you they released the security down payment but it gets effectively done way later.
Rest assured that if the vendor does not release the safe deposit and does not use any of those funds, in max 30 days Master Card will release it automatically.
So, bunq Credit Cards are viewed as CREDIT from the vendors and effectively works for you as a debit.
If you need a Credit Card that offers lines of credit, you will need to shop around to directly purchase a VISA, MasterCard, AMEX or others … but that has indeed a cost usually.
Good luck 🍀
