  • Fees, Cards, investments to be improved

I have been using bunq for a while now, a few years. I have seen some nice improvements over the years and I overall like the product and services. There are, however, a few things I would like to have addressed:

  • Regarding fees: the fees have gone up in all areas so that the advantage comparing to a local “traditional” bank doesn’t exist anymore. There are those complicated and constantly changing fees on withdrawing money (e.g. “networking fees” etc.), loading money (percentage of amount after x amount or x withdrawals) and the ever changing account models and other fees. This is annoying as there seems to be no clear strategy behind changing here and there. Not really transparent. Change must be and fees can increase, but should be made transparent and communicated clearly and NOT happen that often. Plus, the insurance protection is ridiculous. Read just one time what is covered and under which conditions - covers probably not even one purchase you ever make. But great marketing.
  • Regarding cards: there should be a wider variety of designs and customization. Bunq starts to become boring. No more start up flair.
  • Regarding investments: ok, still in beta, many things to be improved. A good start, though. But where are the stock, etf and crypto investments all other banks such as vantik, vivid and others are offering?

Bunq team needs to do a way better job on innovation to become a more serious player in the market. Other neo banks are getting way more financing in their series. Please do something and don’t turn into legacy.

@Stefan-Olive-Hummingbird#238720 Forgot the instant transfer, revolut and other support this, but neither instant payments from and more importantly TO bunq are supported! WHY?

@Stefan-Olive-Hummingbird#238722 bunq automatically send every outgoing payment as instant payment and also supports incoming instant payments. It supports both of the existing European instant payment networks. See this article for more information: https://together.bunq.com/d/40305

@Jakob-Y#238736 Instant transfers from Deutsche Bank do not work, though

@Stefan-Olive-Hummingbird#238720 Totally agree. Where’s the crypto/ETF integrated Bunq wallet (for instance Coinbase or Bitfavo or Binance). Transfer from Bunq to Birdee and return is not transparent (a status ‘in transit’) would help as investment is sometimes ‘gone’). I hope the beta version will upgrade soon.

@Stefan-Olive-Hummingbird#238756 It should work if you select "Echtzeit-Überweisung" in the Deutsche Bank app. Keep in mind that instant transfers are not free at Deutsche Bank for most account types.

You are absolutely right, I just tried it and it did work. My apologies - last time I tried a few months ago it didn’t.

@Stefan-Olive-Hummingbird#238866 Woo-ho! Great that we could sort this out. And good to see your other suggestions, you mentioned many things that might have also crossed my own mind from time to time ;)

@Jakob-Y#238881 Thanks, I hope something is moving soon as many other new banks have better pricing plus more services like stocks and crypto trading, customizable cards. I don’t want to change banks but bunq starting to leading the crowd again!!!
