  • Daily limit should not be “used” by failed transactions

My daily limit was set to €1000. Because of “more advanced” security requirements I couldn’t pay at bol.com with my credit card with the default settings. Because I thought I made a mistake I tried it a few times. In the end I realized a 60min merchant block was applied.
So I chose to use iDeal instead, but now my daily limit was apparently exceeded. Since I did not pay anything else that day, the limit must’ve been reached because of the failed transactions.

That’s crazy right?! How can a failed transaction count for my daily limit. Now I had to change to a crazy high daily limit just because I had all these failed transactions…

    @JorikC#229055 Card transactions don't count to your account limit anyway, they have their own card limit. So that doesn't seem like it could be the issue. Did you ask support about what exactly led to this situation? Because it doesn't really make sense to me and also doesn't work like this in my experience.
