I was just denied service with the bunq travel card at Sixt Amstel Business Park in Amsterdam
Finding this post to complain/solve, it appears the link that was supposed to show me where I can report this, is not working. Can you fix, pls?
I was about to get a metal card but this is a showstopper, renting cars and booking trips hassle-free being one of the reasons I need a credit card at all.
(booking.com also didn't like the card.. at least sixt is showing the deposit they want to make depending on the class of vehicle, booking doesn't tell me)
Also thanks for all the “useful” tips how mastercard has standards… and bunq has agreements with them. Just 7:30 in the morning it is not a good moment to explain this to an employee or manager with other customers waiting, if you get my drift.
Reserving online works, pre-paying too but when you fetch the car they check the card and it fails. Pity

Cards that have similarities with a prepaid card or in another form are missing the typical characteristics of a credit card (for instance, but not limited to, because the card is linked to a balance on a bank account or because the issuer of the card may reject a payment or authorization with a card ) cannot be accepted as a form of payment.
The payment method must have been issued in the name of the driver. This must be presented at the time of vehicle pick-up and be valid at this time. The amount that will be debited includes the rental price as well as all additional extras and charges.
