????
I transferred money to the wrong bunq account, thinking it was mine.

@T-Q-Installatie-Inspecties-Lime-Panda#33963 Hi there! 👋
Did you transfer money to bunq's iDeal account? (The account that you use when you deposit money in your account using the Top-Up feature). If so, then the money will automatically bounce back to your account as soon as possible. Give it a few hours, (perhaps even a day as the money comes to bunq, needs to bounce and needs to be send back), and it should be visible again.
If you transferred money to a wrong IBAN unintentionally (say IBAN of another bunq user) then you can contact best support to see what's possible. You can contact support by clicking here or find Private Matters in the bunq app. 🙂
Cheers. 🌈

Ok bedankt

I've had a friend transfer money to me from his ING account. But because I in the past has sent him a payment request, he had the bunq Ideal account number in the history on his bank account. He thought it was mine, because I'm the only person he knows using bunq. He ended up transferring to that account instead of mine. The money came back to him of course, but it's not really optimal that this happens.
Is there really not a way to solve this in a smart way?

@Dennis#34037 I‘m not sure about the technical possibility to have the ideal payment go directly to your personal bunq IBAN, but the question is maybe if you do want that. Maybe people use payment requests via bunq/tikkie to mask/hide their original IBAN (even though I was able to see IBANs from tikkie requests)..
My first question would of course be: if you asked him for money, why didn’t you again send him a payment request? Or did he initiate the payment without you asking him?

@Tobi-H#34068 He said he already has my IBAN (well, he thought he did, and I thought OK) but after I didn't receive the money the next day, I asked what IBAN he had transferred the money to, and it was not one I recognized.
Support told me that it was their Ideal account, and sheet another three days or so he got the money back.
