Wanneer voert Bunq de IBAN NAAM check in om fraude tegen te gaan?

@Bridget-Green-Dragon#213935 I hope never because I don't need Dutch banks that I have nothing to do with to know my bank details. Today between Dutch banks, tomorrow between all European banks and then world-wide? Maybe fraud prevention should not be based upon distributing everyone's personal data. Could even lead to more fraud in the long run when all this data leaks, as is inevitable whenever you start collecting it at a central place. Decentralization is our strength, not our weakness.
Anyway, just my personal opinion. Maybe bunq will reconsider this in the future, but then I'll reconsider my banking choices.
@Jakob-Y#213938 In my opinion they can share my name and IBAN within Europe to protect me from fraudsters.
@Jakob-Y#213938 I assume the only information needed is a name and the IBAN. I don’t think that information is traceable to a person. When it doesn’t match the system could give a hint, preventing a wrong transaction.
@Johannes-Golden-Dragon1982#213995 I‘m 100% sure I‘m the only person on the planet with my first+last name. But for some people it might indeed be a bit less identifying. And I know how the „hints“ at other Dutch banks look like. They‘re grossly misleading, and one reason why I doubt there are no ulterior motives at play.
Excellent suggestion by Britt. Strange that it took Bunq more than three years to realize that.
