  • API permission for joint accounts

Too bad I cannot use the nice Flow app, because my husband and I only have joint accounts. Okay, I know we can use the app, but I’d love to make use of the automations that transfers money from one joint account to another.
I’m really looking forward to save time and keep a clear overview with these automations.

So, please make it possible for us to use the API without the current restrictions.

  1. Can you tell me why bunq made their choice for the current restrictions?

It seems that this idea has been brought up a couple of times in the past.

  1. Can you give a status update on those ideas?

    @New-Teal-Owl-2334086681#210919 Hello!

    I'm also using the Flow app, and had no issues with connecting my Joint account.
    Do you both have an easyMoney or easyGreen plan/membership?

      @Bastiaan#210930 Hi Bastiaan,

      I think our plans are fine. Do you have both personal and joint accounts?

      On the Flow FAQ page ( > Flow App > second item) I read that are limitations on the bunq side.

        @New-Teal-Owl-2334086681#210933 I think I understand the issue. You can create flows for Joint accounts, but you need to manually approve the action (transfer) each time Flow triggers it.

          Hi! Daan from Flow here. Lara, you are right, although connecting joint (en/of) bunq accounts to Flow is possible, they can only trigger transactions you need to manually approve in the bunq app.

          This is something we talked about with bunq before. We would love to see this limitation lifted, as an “en/of” account means that either parties can make use of the account (iDeal payments, transfers, pin-transactions etc). Same should go for giving consent for automated transactions.

          Drop us a line at hi@flowyour.money if you want to be kept in the loop on this.

          Kind regards,
          Daan

            @Daan-Flow#210937 Thanks for joining the conversation Daan. You are right. Both my husband and I are allowed to make decisions about anything concerning our joint accounts.
            For example, I can even cancel a joint account without consent of my account partner.

            This is why I’d like to know more about the motivation of this specific limitation.
