  • bunq iOS App on Macs with M1 chip (Apple Silicon)

Does anyone have experience using the bunq iPad app on a Apple Silicon Mac ?

    @Mr-Nola#207541 Hey, I tried it myself. It seems to work fine for the most part. It's not optimized for mouse and keyboard, but except for changing the order of accounts/cards everything worked fine here.

          Interesting! How can I install an iOS app on my M1 MacBook?

            @wesselt#207637 Just figured it out!

            • Open the App Store
            • Click on your username (bottom left)
            • Find bunq in the list of purchased apps and download it
            • When you get an SMS activation link, open it on the M1 device’s safari, and then click Open in Bunq in the top of the page

              @wesselt#207640 Yup! Interestingly the bunq app is checking for a Jailbreak and showing a red banner when logging in on the Mac, but it still works fine. They should really just stay in their sandbox and not check for jailbreaks imho.

                  Doesn't work at my brand new macbook air, itís Indictating that the device is jailbroken

                        Wie bekommt ihr die Registrierung hin? Beim Start der App auf dem m1 wird eine sms versandt. Öffne ich diese auf dem m1, erscheint ein Dialog das es ein anderes Gerät sei. Danke!

                          @Bernhard-Teal-Jaguar#211229 Du musst Continuity benutzen, sodass du die SMS direkt auf dem Mac empfängst. Einfach nur den Link kopieren funktioniert nicht. Zumindest war das bei mir das Problem anfänglich.

                          @Pac-Man#211205 Die Sandbox auf dem Mac ist anders als auf iOS-Geräten, weshalb hier die bunq App anscheinend denkt, sie würde auf einem Jailbroken Gerät laufen. Beim Login Screen erscheint daher oben ein rotes Band mit dem Hinweis. Es hat aber keinen Einfluss auf die Funktionalität, es ist lediglich eine Warnung. (Wohlgemerkt von der App, nicht von macOS.)

                              Volgens stappenplan van @wesselt werkend gekregen op een MBP M1, en ook mee betaald.

                                I was wrong, my M1 Mac was a Macbook with the screen closed as I was using an external monitor. So, automatically theTouch-ID was disabled.
                                Opening the screen, I was able to confirm payments with the Touch-ID.
