• Apple Pay comes to Germany this year - confirmed by Tim Cook

@Phil#27313 You can tell from the way this announcement is phrased, that it came from Apple. Other banks who announced their participation in Apple Pay have used the exact same words. So I would think they have to keep quiet about details on this.

@Phil We will make sure to update this topic when we have more information to share with you😎

    For now stay awesome🌈

@Steffany-Green-Tiger-3565927607#27310 Now go and get Apple to introduce Apple Pay in The Netherlands!

@Steffany-Green-Tiger-3565927607#27310 Steffany, do we in Germany need to do anything in the app or are new cards, bunq accounts required?

@Ralf-Silver-Kiwi#38401 ApplePay has not yet been launched in Germany. I assume you don’t need new cards when it gets launched.

@Arjan#38425 That’s true. At the moment everyone expects the start by end of this month. Or latest mid November. I also assume we don’t need new cards or anything else. But it’s better to be prepared for it.

Apple just announced its German banking partners, and bunq is on the list! Also, Elise just shared a post that Apple Pay is coming.. finally! I hope my fellow Dutchies don‘t have to wait for much longer, too!
