  • Bug: bunq mails going to old email address

Hi all,

Maybe some of you encountered the same thing. This morning I heard from my girlfriend +1 was introduced. She received an email. Knowing it can take some time before everyone gets an email, I kept waiting to be formally hear the latest news from bunq. However, as it now turns out, this email was sent to me. To my old email address that is.

I changed it some months ago, and bunq used this as recently 2 weeks ago when my joint account was terminated.
Can this be fixed?

Ich kriege seit einiger Zeit überhaupt keine Mails mehr von bunq!! 😱🤔😟

Same here. Changed it some days ago

Also been a problem for me months ago. Something in their systems needs to get changed. (And I know my way around the notification settings, everything is set to on here.)

Ich hatte genau das gleiche Problem, habe dies dem Support mitgeteilt, scheinbar konnte das korrigiert werden. Bekomme nun alle Mails an meine neue Adresse. Das Ändern der Mailadresse im Account scheint nicht auszureichen. Ist definitiv ein Bug.

@Bryan#159897 I have this bug since over a year at least, and I contacted the support several times about it, but after a while it suddenly stopped working again and I got emails to my old one again.
Something in bunq’s email system is really buggy, maybe they could fix it together with some new features like selecting an email for bunq invoices, one for marketing, etc

              a month later

And this is still the case so it seems. Can you just fix this?

                3 years later

I am still having this issue, receiving e-mail on my old mail address.
Reached out to support twice now over the last few months.
It might be a waiting game.

However, if anyone stumbled on a app-interaction that worked persistently, let me know.

Unsubscribing does not seem to work. (Also not exactly what I want: "Be the last to know"-flow.)

I second the idea about more control, for example, I don't need bunq's invoice to be received on more than one address. (This is a independent issue from the old-address issue.)

A lot of e-mails received on the old are about card-limits, interest, cash-back or creating a digi-card etcetera.
Just feedback about the latter: I know, I was there, I pressed button that made that happen; no need to e-mail about it.

I've hit the issue recently, reported to support.

Hello there 👋 Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and I apologize for the inconvenience you're facing 🙏
