  • Transferwise Alipay integration

Hi bunq,

A few days ago Transferwise has announced a partnership with Alipay.
As of now, you can send CNY to either a Unionpay or Alipay account within the Transferwise site or app.

Unfortunately, this hasn't been integrated in the bunq app yet. Only Unionpay is supported at this moment.
Since I'm sending money to China via the bunq app on a weekly basis I would love to see the option sending money to an Alipay account.

Transferwise mentioned it shouldn't be difficult to add this option since its already available in the API (?).

      You can also login direct inside your TransferWise account send to Alipay, and pay with Apple Pay or iDEAL, the transfer is handled faster as over bunq

        That’s what I’m doing now but I don’t want to rely on the transferwise app 👍

          I checked internally with Transferwise and at the moment their API is not yet ready to trigger the purpose of the transfer, a mandatory field to complete Alipay payments.

          They ensured me they're working on it and will let us know once it's available for bunq users :)
