  • Changing your Tax Identification Number (TIN)

My issue is similar to Lorinda's topic about changing the Tax Identification Number (TIN) - I've put in a TIN but will need to change it.

However, my situation is a bit different and I'm wondering if changing the TIN deserves some UX consideration.

I opened a bunq account as a soon-to-be expat in the Netherlands. I intend to provide the BSN (the Dutch TIN) within 90 days, as required by bunq. However, the bunq app asked me about my current tax residency so I submitted my current tax residency, which is not Dutch. Looking around the app, much like Lorinda in March, I can't find an obvious way to change the TIN once I get my BSN.

I will, of course, contact Support to add the BSN to my account, but could there be a way to do this without taking up Support time?

    I’m a student and I don’t have identification number and my account was block since 2 month now. What can I do please?

      @New-Red-Tiger-542233990#232206 Hi Suzak, everyone gets a TIN. It doesn't matter if you're a student and/or not employed anywhere. In case of The Netherlands, you get it at birth or if you're from a foreign country when you first register at a municipality.

      In The Netherlands the TIN is called Burgerservicenummer or BSN. It has 9 digits.

          @New-Lime-Unicorn-3152612252#239246 Please contact bunq via the in-app support chat and they will assist you with keeping your TIN information up-to-date and correct. You can get to it in the app by following these steps:

          1. Go to Profile
          2. Tap on Settings in the right corner on top
          3. Scroll to the bottom, tap on Need help? Get Support, then choose Personal Support

            Profiel en instelling kan ik vinden, maar geen ### HULP nodig? Krijg ondersteuning ###. Ik kom er niet uit!
            Bovendien heb ik geld gestort en dat komt dan op mijn creditcard rekening terecht. De bedoeling is dat het op de spaarrekening komt, dat lukt ook al niet. Bunq geeft geen antwoord op vragen n.a.v. deze problemen. Klagen kan blijkbaar ook nergens.
