Last Thursday bunq introduced the bunq Green Card, for every €100,- spent with the card bunq will plant a tree. A great Initiative if you ask me. 🌱
However, I had some difficulties justifying the price of the card, as it's €99,- a year. Yes the card is partly made of metal and looks great because of it, but if I want to plant trees I could also give money to the ongoing teamtrees campaign. 🤔
In the end, I did order a bunq Green Card because I would like to support the idea behind it, and to be honest I'm a sucker for everything shiny. ✨ But wouldn't it be great if the bunq Green Card could offer you some more value, so the price is easier to justify while still making the world a greener and better place?
My proposal: bunq Green Card - Special Deals
Offering specials deals at green and sustainable shops could be a great way to provide additional value to the bunq Green Card, whilst expanding on the philosophy behind the bunq Green Card. Making the bunq Green Card the best payment option at businesses that try to combat climate change and inequality. 🌍
These special deals could be offered based on the country of residence or your current location, to further fight pollution caused by shipping over large distances. 🚚
Examples of possible offers:
- Discounts
- Additional trees per x amount spent
- Additional trees per transaction
Or a combinations of these, like:
Get 15% off and bunq plants one extra tree
