Ricardo 🇵🇹🇬🇧 I can speak for Leuven and here although in most places my bunq Maestro works, some places where it doesn't are grocery stores, nachtwinkels, some pharmacies although not all. So yes, Bancontact in Belgium is still an issue and if bunq does that it will be greatly appreciated. Although I use bunq as my primary bank, I need to keep my KBC account alive just for these specific stores where they won't accept anything but Bancontact.
Bram Patrick If you check Colryut website' it says no. If you ask the person who works there, they will be clueless and would probably say no. But if you just go ahead and pay using your Bunq Maestro card - it works! Very weird, it seems even they are not informed well. Have tried this in three Colryut stores and 2 SPAR so I can confirm that indeed bunq works there.
