I hear ya! I also want the ability to disable this.. they only need a 6-digit code :|
So in case your phone's battery is dead and you want to use the web version to disable a card you want to grab your phone to ... oh, wait.
@Tklaversma#106250 No, they also need access to your email account.
Nee
@Heiko-Hartwig#106222 you are afraid someone will hack himself into your email ánd guess/phish/steal a random 6-digit code?
@Arjan#106264 It will be possible ... why not?
@Heiko-Hartwig#106273 That's about the same information you need to login into the app on a new device, so what's the difference?
@tobyx#106292 Just tried to log into the app on a new device. It asks for a phone number to add a new app. It will send an SMS to the phone number.
So the website is different in that you don't need a phone. I like it, I was always worried what would happen if I lost my phone.
@wesselt#106359 The phone number can be any number, though. It doesn‘t have to be your own number.
@Jakob#106385 It has to be linked to your account. So what do you mean with any number?
@wesselt#106409 I mean any number that can receive text messages. Afaik it doesn‘t have to be linked to your account or anything.
@wesselt#106409 The phone number you are asked for first is used to register the device. Then, once the device is known to bunq you can login to any bunq account as long as you have the credentials (phone number / email + six digit code) and in most cases also the additional verification (hand scan or passphrase) 🙂
@Jakob#106410 You can use any number for a new account. But to log in to my account, it has to be my phone number.
@wesselt#106561 I meant to say the same thing Sander says, sorry if I couldn‘t express that appropriately.
@Phideo-Group-B-V-Navy-Quokka#106258 Nee
Klar.
@Jakob#106385 @wesselt Plus, because you're logging in on a new device, aside from entering your login code, we'll require you to scan your fingers, or enter your passphrase.
