The topics posted by @Jeroen don’t cover the idea here. They are about converting regular to savings and switching back and forth. But this one is about a one time conversion to regular. And I’d love 💕 to have this.
Why? I’m saving for the summer holidays and when the goal is met I want to use that budget for all travel payments and have the regular account features available (IBAN, request, custom transfer). I can of course do the conversion manually, but it feels like something that can easily be automated in the app.
The way I see it, once the goal is met:
- bunq asks if you want to transfer the amount.
- At the top of the account chooser add a row ‘Convert to new account’.
- Then the app creates the account with the same name and personalization, use it as the destination, and archives the savings account.
It’s basically the same as doing it manually, but more convenient.
