  • en/en account

The en/of accounts are already really easy with bunq but I believe there is a big opportunity for en/en accounts where 2 or more people need to acknowledge a payment before it is done.

My main scenario is the dutch VvE (Vereniging van Eigenaren). We have quite big expenses and budgets but we don't want one of the members to hit and run with the money or doing unplanned payments.

Other scenarios would be: people with alzheimers that need financial supervision, kids, VOF etc.

    Hey Yannick,

Thanks for the suggestion. I think that in all of these situations, our Connect feature offers a better solution for you then Joint Accounts. Connected accounts always stay owned by the business/partner/child/parent that started the account.

With a Connect, you can set permissions and spending limits ๐Ÿ‘Œ

Having to give an "okay" for a payment is something we can check to add to Connect. Why not to joint accounts? BEcause the other people in the joint accounts are also owners of that money, everyone in there is an equal owner.

"BEcause the other people in the joint accounts are also owners of that money, everyone in there is an equal owner."

This statement could also lead to the conclusion that as everyone is equal owner, everyone should agree on payments..

This is how a en/en account at other banks also works, but then you have to use paper forms for every payment (whaaaaaaaaaa), hence the big opportunity.

Well, you're absolutely right! Thanks for pointing that out ๐Ÿ˜„

Cool idea. You could also have a setup where someone is authorized to approve payments, but not to initiate them.

You could also implement this by being able to switch this on or off. Both parties should agree on turning it on or off. That way you donโ€™t need a special account besides en/of. Itโ€™s just something all parties will agree on.

I think this feature could also work for business accounts. Right now, the only way to share full access to a business account is by sharing the password which is obviously a bad idea.
