Accounts in other currency?

PaySera.com has IBAN's with multi-currencies. So like PayPal, you would have 1 account, a euro transfer is credited in Euro's a Dollar transfer in Dollar etc.

This would certainly be a feature that would make the premium price acceptable.

(You can start with the EU/EEA currencies, including USD)

You could cover the whole SEPA area, 19 EUR counties and 8 other currencies +USD. USD might bring you under US jurisdiction for some parts but the rest could be covered by your passporting.

Veel van mijn zakelijke creditcard uitgaven zijn in USD. Daarnaast zijn er een aantal sites die je dwingen om hun ongunstige conversie van USD naar EUR te gebruiken. Een USD MasterCard kan daarbij helpen.

Waarschijnlijk het handigst om te combineren met een USD rekening (zoals in dit topic), maar ook met EUR rekening zou het moeten werken. Dus eigenlijk een apart iets.

Welke sites zijn dit?

In principe is dit verboden (minstens door mastercard) en een transactiebetwisting/chargeback is dan ook op zijn plaats. Er moet immers toestemming gevraagd worden aan de kaarthouder en de optie om de valutaconversie te weigeren en in ‘lokale’ valuta te betalen moet beschikbaar zijn.

Is there any update on having a multi currency account? This is actually a reason for me to start using BUNQ, if it’s not available, it’s no use to me.

At this time we still only bank with euros, so providing multiple currency options is something still on our wishlist!

If you wish to send or receive a transfer in another currency, you can then always use a third party resource such as Transferwise to do so 👍

The sooner you can open a US$ version of your bank account the better for all of us who earn in multiple currencies!!

You know already how to run a Euro Account so you have the knowledge!

I would love a (or any) reason not to also have to use Revolut. Bunqing in £€$ (and the associated market-rate exchange, mark-up/fee-free payment services, etc) would be wonderful, but, I fear, not quite on the agenda anytime soon...

Jay I think Multi Currency never will be available at Bunq.
So i will Chance my Bunq Account from Premium to free, and change to Revolut.
To Pay with the card in non-Euro-Countries is to expensive for me.

Andreas The bunq package is sooooo Euro-centric. It would be exciting if they properly moved into the UK market, for a start. It just doesn't sound like there's the ambition to do so right now........ For UK residents, the Premium package is almost redundant, so bunq probably faces a chicken and egg situation, where it won't get revenue for UK residents until it has expanded it UK services, but there are very high costs to make that move

I personally think with the current insecurities from the upcoming/ongoing Brexit, moving into UK right now isn't in consideration. Once things settle down and there will be clear rules/laws/treaties and a stable government things might get interesting again for any company looking to expand into the UK.

iD4SPORTS You can only receive money in Euro, as far as I know. So if someone has USD they need to use something like transferwise to conevrt to Euro to pay to you. Just like bunq uses transferwise if you make a payment in USD to them.

If you want you can create a new account for your "foreign" payments, but it will be a Euro account and not a GBP account.
